On Monday while walking l recalled two things.
After my residency in Vermont last year l gave a presentation on my work in a seminar of MFA sculpture students at Concordia University in Montreal and it was suggested my concern with land/seascape was perhaps rooted in a very particular English tradition seen in contemporary artists such as Richard Long, which is something l had not previously considered.
The two photographers who have influenced me the most are Bill Brandt and László Moholy-Nagy.
